Outdoor education is an integral part of our academic program.
Students in grades 4, 6 and 8 participate in an outdoor education program.
The 8th grade class attends Caritas Creek, a one week science camp, or a nature adventure at Yosemite.
Our 6th also participates in a five-day science program at Caritas Creek.
Students in 4th grade attend the three-day Coloma Outdoor Discovery School near Sacramento, which emphasizes the California Gold Rush experience.
Each of these excursions provides our students with a unique experience that cannot be replicated in the classroom. All students are required to attend. Families are required to pay for expenses although the school tries to subsidize by paying for part of the trip through our Annual Giving Campaign.
